Elizabeth passed away in her home she loved dearly on November 26, 2020. Elizabeth was born August 16, 1940 to John R and Helen Torres of Center, Colorado where she was raised. In 1959 she married Alfred Medina. To that union she became the mother of Lorrie Schofield ( Destry), Gary Medina (Robin) and Larry Medina ( Bonnie). She was proud of her six grandchildren. Brandee Medina, Jonathan Medina (Camille), Adam Medina (Laura), Hollie Medina, Larysa Medina and Logan Medina. She was truly blessed to have 11 great-grandchildren. Shrayder Vanderpool, Anthony, Keegan, Tristan, Aiden, Bryson, Neila Medina. Harper and Charlee Medina. Gabriel and Raeligh Welch.
Liz was so proud of her accomplishment of returning to school and later on getting a job as the Treasurer Manager of Holy Name of Mary Credit Union for 28 years until her retirement. She remarried in 2003, to Larry Martines in Saguache, Colorado After retirement she started working at Del Norte Head-start part time. It was never uncommon to her the voices of small children in the community shouting out “Hi grandma Liz”!
Aunt Leesy had many nieces and nephews she held special to her. With funny memories they each shared along with warm conversations and laughter. She held her nephew Matt Torres close to her heart. Liz was very blessed to have her special loving companion Juanito Vigil who made trips from Commerce City Colorado just to spend as much time as he could with her. Surviving siblings, sisters Mary Santistevan Las Cruces NM, Gloria Chavarin Calexico CA, Cora Vigil (Nick) Farmington New Mexico Sister-in-law Carol Torres Strasburg Co, Martha Torres Albuquerque NM, Sally Torres Vigil Albuquerque New Mexico Proceeded in death are John R and Helen Torres.  Brothers Manual Torres, Orlando (Jane) Torres, Andy Torres, Claude Torres and Nephew Harold Torres.
