CREEDE — The Creede Headwaters Music Festival was a hit in the summer of 2022 with a lineup that many thought could not be matched. Creede Headwaters Music Festival member Bob Holt has released the lineup for this year, and it looks to be as good, if not better. This year’s music festival will take place on the weekend of Aug. 26 and 27.

Pam Rose will be the co-headliner for this summer’s festival along with Chuck Jones. She is a Nashville-based, award-winning, country music singer and songwriter. She has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for “Best Country Song” and nominated by the Academy of Country Music Awards for “Song of the Year” for her song, “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” recorded by Restless Heart.

With Mary Ann Kennedy, they won praise for their powerful alliance as part of the group, Calamity Jane, and later as the acclaimed duo, Kennedy Rose. They recorded two CDs for Sting’s, private label, and were asked to open for him on a World Tour.

With Emmylou Harris, Kennedy Rose performed twice at the White House. They also performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Presentation in Oslo, Norway, and during 2016, Kennedy Rose toured with Harris in North America and Europe as an acoustic trio, spotlighting their three-part blend.

As a solo artist, Rose has recorded CDs “Morpheus” and “Fly” and most recently, “The Temple Sessions.” She has enjoyed traveling the world as a solo artist. She has sung with other artists including Art Garfunkel and Neil Young and recorded most notably “How Do I live Without You” with Leann Rhimes and “Independence Day” with Martina McBride.

Jones, along with Rose, have recorded and performed together and will accompany each other during each star’s performance on the festival’s “Jon Harshaw” main stage.

His songs have been recorded by artists, including Patti Labelle, Ronnie Millsap, Shelby Lynne, Chris Ledoux, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Charlie Daniels, Deana Carter, Reba McEntire, and Peter Cetera. John Berry’s “Your Love Amazes Me” hit the No. 1 spot, and also won Song Of The Year from the Country Radio Music Awards and the Music City News Country Songwriter Awards. Jones has had No. 1’s with Diamond Rio’s “Love A Little Stronger” and Billy Dean’s “It’s What I Do.” He has also had many other charting singles with Montgomery Gentry, Trace Adkins, Rascal Flatts, Jake Owen, Julia Cole, and Randy Houser.

“We are also very excited to announce that we are having back this summer the 4th Infantry Division Country/Rock Band from Fort Carson, Colorado. They were a big hit at last year’s festival, and we were given approval from the Department of the Army for them to return this summer. In addition, we have popular bands scheduled including Mito, River Town Folk, BMK (Baxter, Martin, and Kurtz) and several others filling out our two-day schedule,” said Holt.
