Mineral County Assessor seeks re-election to office

MINERAL COUNTY — Since 2010, Mineral County Assessor Libby Lamb has served the county in her position and recently announced her bid for re-election. Having served as the deputy assessor for two years prior to winning her first election, Lamb continues to strive for excellence.

“I am excited to announce the kick-off of my campaign for re-election to the office of Mineral County Assessor, a position in which I have served with dedication since 2010 when I was appointed by the Mineral County Commissioners to fill the vacancy created by my predecessor, Wendy Leggitt’s resignation,” Lamb said. “I had served as her deputy for two years prior to this appointment and considered myself well trained to assume the duties of the office. In the ensuing years in office, I have continued my training, having successful completed over 250 hours of certified classes with the Colorado Division of Property Taxation.”

For the last 12 years, Lamb has also dedicated herself to ensuring that county files are up to date and in compliance with the state while continuing to upgrade county systems.

“In my time as the Mineral County Assessor, I have endeavored diligently to ensure that all of the Mineral County files are current and in compliance with the current Colorado Revised Statutes as well as the Colorado Division of Property Taxation’s rules and regulations for Assessors,” Lamb said. “In 2017, I changed the software company that the Assessor’s Office had been using to Tyler Technologies, the company that the majority of the other county offices are now using and showing a vast improvement in the efficiency of my office. I am now on the Executive Board of the Tyler User Group; I also serve as a District Chairperson of the Colorado Assessor’s Association Executive Board.”

Lamb said if re-elected she plans to continue to serve the county with pride and dedication.

“If re-elected I will continue my dedication to the Assessor’s Office and the ongoing training that is necessary to keep the county up to date with all the ever-changing Colorado laws and regulations,” she said. “I pledge to continue to serve the citizens of Mineral County to the best of my abilities, utilizing the experience and training I have been privileged to receive. I have truly been honored to serve Mineral County in my terms as Assessor and appreciate beyond words the over whelming positive support I have received from the community over the years.”
