Marsha Mae (Montgomery) Leichliter, 78

IRVING, Texas— Marsha Mae (Montgomery) Leichliter passed away on April 22, 2018 at the age of 78 after a private battle with colon and liver cancer.
Marsha was born and raised in the Longmont/Boulder area of Colorado. She was the eldest of four children and is preceded in death by her father Robert Montgomery and her mother Muriel (Hoffman) Montgomery, who are both laid to rest in Longmont, Colo.
She married William F. Leichliter in 1962 and moved to the Dallas, Texas area where William took a job as a Dallas police officer and Marsha took on the task of raising the children. After their divorce, Marsha worked as a corporate secretary for Employers Insurance of Texas for several years and then later as an office manager for a Dallas-based general contractor.
She moved to South Fork in 2000 to spend her remaining years in the mountain home that she helped to build. She often enjoyed rock hunting, outdoor concerts and making her beautiful crafts using the natural elements.
She is survived by her brothers Dean Montgomery and David Montgomery, and her sister Jean Heltibridle as well as her niece and several nephews. Additionally, she is survived by her daughter Jodi Leichliter-Harrison, son-in- law Kenneth Harrison, granddaughter Jazmine Myles, and grandson Jackson Ennels. Lastly, she is also survived by her son Justin Leichliter, daughter-in-law Sandy Leichliter and granddaughter Macey Leichliter of Decatur, Texas.
A memorial service will be held in South Fork this summer on a date to be determined to celebrate Marsha’s life with her many good friends and immediate family.
