DELTA, Colo.—Beloved husband, father, grandfather Jacob (Jake) I. Weber, 80, passed away Oct. 29, 2017 at his home in Delta, Colo.
He was born Oct. 8, 1937 in Montrose, Colo. to Earl D. and Loeta S. (Barton) Weber, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy J. (Stone) of Delta; his son Bruce (Kim) of Colorado Springs; his son Jay (Ramona) of Creede; grandchildren: Travis (Kelly) of Delta; Kristy (Bert) Sisemore of Montrose; Ranae (Robert) Williams of Montrose; Bethany Weaver of Colorado Springs; Jimmy (Lauren) of Clifton; Jessica of Montrose; Randi (Malcolm) Snead of Creede; Kelly (Nichole) DePriest of Creede; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Alice Catt of Fruita; brother Robert of Montrose; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, two sisters and one brother.
Jake was a mechanic, farmer and janitor who loved his family, farming, hunting, the mountains and being a volunteer grandparent.
Upon his request, no services are planned. A reception will be held Nov. 1, 3-7 p.m. at the family home, 1810 5100 Road, Delta, CO 81416.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lincoln Elementary in Delta.
