CREEDE— According to reports made by the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department, a house fire consumed a home on 10 ½ Street in Creede during the early morning hours on Monday, Oct. 15.
Mineral County Sherriff Fred Hosselkus was not able to provide much information pertaining to the incident, pending further investigation. “We do not know what caused the fire, but the home was a total loss. There were no injuries and the occupants of the residence were able to escape,” stated Hosselkus.
The Mineral County Fire Department is continuing investigation into the fire and will report any further information as it comes available.
