CREEDE— On May 21, Creede P.E. teacher Kim Fairchild rallied the Creede Elementary School to embark on their annual community service clean-up day in town. Students donning gloves picked up garbage throughout town. Extra emphasis was placed on how many cigarette butts could be found, and the grand total was 1,385.

Thank you to the Silver Thread Public Health and the State Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership (STEPP) for providing lunch from the Best Little Dog House in Creede. And thank you to the students and staff for keeping Creede town looking clean and beautiful.
