Mining Notes

Mr. H.F. Lunt is in this week from Denver, looking after matters connected with his position as State Superintendent of Mining.

The Bird Creek Mining Company at Spar, have suspended work at their property for the winter and all the employees have come down. This mine has developed a fine ore body and only requires a mill to make a steady shipper.  Superintendent George S. Bentley will leave for Hutchinson, Kansas and extend his efforts toward securing this improvement.

The snow storm of the last few days left deposits in the mountains ranging from 15 inches at Derrick's sawmill to 18 inches at Spar City, 12 inches in Antelope Park, 24 inches at the Sulphur mines and 23 inches on North Clear Creek.
