CREEDE— The 2018 Creede Health fair is on the horizon and is a great place to go for low cost and even free services. The fair will be held at the new school this year and will include educational booths from local organizations as well as several health services. The fair is made possible by Mineral County Public Health and Western Health Screening.
According to Mineral County Public Health Director Tara Hardy there will be health screenings including cholesterol lipid panels, iron ferritin and 32 organ function screenings. There will also be several other services that include comprehensive depression and energy level screenings, vitamin D level screening and more.
The health fair will be offering the following free services: biometric screening, vision and hearing screening, peripheral vascular disease screening, bone scan, skin assessment, lung function test and stress management.
In addition, there will be various booths offering information on a wide variety of health-related topics. Individuals that would like to register for blood analysis can do so at https://registration.westernhealthscreenings.com/. Mineral County residents will need to use the code S-78291. If anyone is interested in volunteering at the Creede Health Fair, they can contact Mineral County Public Health at 658-2416.
