The nearly 200 persons in attendance at Creede’s Memorial Day service in Basham Park were treated to the voices of the Creede Choir on Monday, hearing several patriot numbers including the National Anthem.

Left: Creede Memorial Day speaker Ray Dellenbaugh, a veteran of the US Army in the 101st Airborne as a medic in Viet Nam and a Creede Elks Lodge leader, reminded those in attendance Monday that 1.3 million American veterans have died in service. “The American spirit is alive and well here in Creede,” he said.
